SHA CAGE is a multidisciplinary artist whose film work spans production, performance, and storytelling rooted in justice and representation. She co-produced the award-winning short film New Neighbors, which premiered at Sundance and screened at over 100 festivals worldwide, and is currently co-producing 39 Seconds: The John Donaldson Story, a documentary on the legacy of Negro League baseball.
Her on-screen credits include Factotum, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Joe Somebody, and independent features such as Radio and Cry About a Nickel. Through Black Star Studios and Tru Ruts, she advances narrative film work centering the African Diaspora and community healing. A Regional Emmy winner and recipient of McKnight, Ivey, and Fox/TCG fellowships, she continues to use film as a tool for cultural reflection and transformation.
